The Dallas Zoo

A recent trip to the zoo gave me a chance to take some very nice pictures of a wide variety of animals. If heading to the zoo during summer, be prepare to battle the Texas heat. If interested, check out the Dallas Zoo home page for more details.

Commemorating Dallas’ beginnings

Dallas beginnings are commemorated here in Pioneer Plaza with a lifelike size bronze cattle drive sculpture. Pioneer Plaza is located near City Hall and the Dallas Convention Center off South Griffin & Young Street.

"Texas, our Texas"

Shot of an extremely large Texas flag near the I-635 & I-30 (Northeast Dallas) area. Just a tad bit of info: blue stands for loyalty, the white represents purity, and the red is for bravery.

Reunion Tower, aka The Ball

The infamous Reunion Tower has to be the most recognizable landmark of the city of Dallas, it was built in 1978 and has closed recently for renovation, should reopen fall 2008. Picture was taken nearing sunset time, also capturing the Hyatt Regency Hotel. For additional info, you can visit the Reunion Tower home page or Wikipedia entry.
